Activities in Jersey
There are so many activities to do in Jersey that you can't possibly fit it all into one holiday! This page is about all the active stuff you can do on dry land. There are separate pages about
watersports,
walking and cycling because there is just too much for one page.
Jersey is near to paradise if you enjoy outdoor activities! There are opportunities for climbing and abseiling along Jersey's dramatic north coast. You could go Blo-carting along the huge expanse of sand at St Ouen's Bay. There are go-karts suitable for various ages, the amazing new Segway Rally and three-wheeled Balanz Bikes.
There are several golf courses, as well as some great mini golf and putting ranges.
You can go orienteering, learn survival skills on a survival camp or take part in bunker tours and organised 'war games.'
Jersey is a great place to try out the GPS game of
Geocaching.
With over 100 caches in just 45 sq miles, it could keep you busy all week - and you would discover many of the Island's little known beauty spots.
Shooting is often considered Jersey's national sport, and there are many small club ranges. Visitors can try their hand at laser clay pigeon shooting.
Riding schools offer hacks, beach rides and lessons for beginners or experienced riders.
If you enjoy
running,
on or off-road, the choices are almost endless. Find out about some of my favorite runs here.
You can try ten-pin bowling at a state-of-the-art alley, play lawn bowls or have a go at the traditional outdoor game of petanque.
There a several sports centres in the Island including Fort Regent, Les Quennevais, Springfield. You can book courts for badminton, squash, tennis table tennis or football, play pool, bar billiards or snooker. Holiday gym membership is available at the sports centres, and most offer a range of drop-in classes ranging from yoga and pilates to dance, step and spinning.
If you prefer to do your active stuff up in the air - try flying lessons, hang gliding, para gliding, or a parachute jump.
Still fun but not quite as daring, there are some great beaches for kiting - or have a go at driving a hovercraft over land or water.
Whatever kind of activites you prefer - Jersey has something for you.
